VS November 2021 It was an amazing stay. Me and my partner really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was beautiful and the scenery and river was relaxing to watch in the morning. Even with the storm it was cozy and warm inside. We really couldn’t ask for anything better and we can’t wait to come back again. Thank you.
DM October 2021 Just what the vet ordered some quality time. No stress for Poppy . A perfect place set in a secluded spot ideal to get away from the outside world. Don’t forget to bring your wellies and binoculars. Plenty of wildlife to be spotted. Julie is a wonderful superhost, she greeted us when we arrived and let us settle in and she was quick to respond to my text. This was are 2nd time this year and we will be back in the spring ??????
LC September 2021 Had a great 2 night stay at the cabin with our dog Sheppy. We wanted a quiet getaway and that’s exactly what we got
. Lots of birds and a squirrel came for a visit. We got lucky with a beautiful full moon as well. Great walks beside the Bann all a short drive away. Thank you Julie for a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be booking in again soon
TS August 2021 We are just back from a 7-night break at Willowfield Cabin. Julie, the owner, met us shortly after we arrived and gave us all the information that we would need, from what wildlife too look out for, to where to go for something to eat and places to see. The cabin is excellent, private and secluded set at the end of the lane with the river in front and surrounded by trees and a meadow. Inside the cabin you have everything that is needed to make your stay comfortable. The power of the shower was amazing, and the sofa bed made watching TV in the evening really cosy. Julie is a wonderful, accommodating host and we are really looking forward to a return visit to Willowfield Cabin.
JG July 2021 My partner and I are just home from a perfect 2 night stay at the cabin. The host, Julie, went over and above to make us feel welcome – the fresh flowers on our arrival were a lovely, personal touch. Such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere right in the heart of nature. We and the dogs felt right at home

DM May 2021 ideal spot. nature at your door. plenty of wildlife to discover and our dog loved it too. No need to leave the cabin area peace and quiet and lots of beautiful birds and curious squirrels love to come and eat out of the feeders. perfect piece of paradise in our own wee country 
RF May 2021 Great weekend spent in seclusion and nature! Rustic and rural rolled into one, and still within easy reach of the North Coast and Triangle areas. The doggie thoroughly enjoyed his rambles around the pond exploring new sights sounds and smells. Thanks again Julie

LM July 2020 Willowfield is a great place to chill and relax. The cabin has everything you need. It is within easy travel distance to lots of places to visit. All precautions are taken to make the cabin feel safe during this pandemic. Would definitely recommend a visit.
AF February 2020 Just back from 2 nights stay here. The cabin and its surroundings are absolutely stunning! Julie has thought of literally everything! From the warm welcome to the basket full of treats. I also received a birthday card and gift, which was just the most thoughtful thing. I brought my dog with me and I think he enjoyed it more than me. There was so much space for him to run around safely and he definitely did that! The cabin is in a great location for visiting local forests and beaches. We didn’t have the best weather, but still managed to see some beautiful places. It’s not a question of if we will be back, but when! Thanks so much Julie! X
CC September 2019 Liked – quietness, river view & warmth. Didn’t like – ‘the bear (lol)’, the fly that kept landing on me. Anything not working – the telescope tripod attachment doesn’t hold the telescope. Wildlife spotted – lots of birds, magpie, finches, tits, ducks & 9am this morning, otters 🙂 The wildlife pond could be signposted as we walked around the field before we found it. Thank you for having us, there’s a lot to do around here, so much so we need and want to come back x Note from Willowfield – the ‘bear’ that was heard is believed to be a visiting snuffling badger 🙂
AG August 2019 Brilliant, just what you need for a break away. Kitchen was well equipped to be able to cook a meal. Liked the location of the cabin, very peaceful and private, enjoying the fire, wildlife etc. Excellent value for money. Spotted squirrel, woodpigeon, frogs, small birds. Visited Castleroe Forest – excellent spot to walk your dogs, Blaze really enjoyed himself there, the River Bann is just beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Julie for having us. Blaze enjoyed himself too, he was so relaxed and content the whole time. We’ll be back soon!
JK July 2019 My partner and I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Julie for allowing us stay in her log cabin to get away for a few days with duke our little Jack Russell and to say Willowfield was the perfect place would be the least to say about it! Julie gave us a warm, chatty and caring welcome to her log cabin which started our great experience off! Everything from the wooden beams inside the cabin, to flowers on the table, to a basket full with all we needed to know, tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits for us and doggy treats for duke! The personal touches really made us feel like we had a arrived to a home from home! The facilities of the fire pit beside the river to a lovely stroll around the scenic pond along with what nature has to offer were breath-taking and beautiful! Julie went above and beyond with this place and it really shows! Not too far from beaches, forests, lakes etc! To say we are rejuvenated and refreshed is an understatement! Highly recommend this little hidden haven!
SM September 2018 Beautiful welcome pack, all the facilities that are needed are supplied. Made to feel very welcome, very thoughtful touches like the ‘forgotten anything’ box and mementos that can be bought. Fantastic setting, amazingly peaceful & romantic setting. Very good value for money. Spotted squirrels, ducks, various birds & frogs. Nice country walks in the area. Our wee Daisy really enjoyed herself smelling smells and playing in the grass. Wonderful to be able to bring her. Thank you 🙂
NL August 2018 Facilities – All good, enjoyed stay so much booked again for after Christmas. Will definitely be back on a regular basis. The cabin was very cosy. The shower power was amazing. Very peaceful & quiet. Loved that all pets are allowed. Welcome Basket & wine/chocolates/card was so nice, very thoughtful. Value for Money – Very pleased with price, booked again for end of year.
AB June 2018 Liked everything. What a lovely place to stay. Loved the welcome we got and the personal touches. Chiminea & Bird Table is a great idea. TV remote came apart but is back together. Excellent value for money. Spotted jay, crows, magpie, mallard & ducklings, blue tit, woodpigeon, bats (unsure of species). Visited all along the North Coast, Castlerock beach, Portrush, Portstewart, Portballintrae, White Park Bay & Ballycastle. Have already recommended to all family & friends. This cabin is like a magical wildlife cabin with fairy lights. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay (Ghost especially). Thank you so much! Note from Willowfield – TV remote has been replaced. Bat species is believed to be Pipistrelle. 🙂
AS July 2017 Facilities very good, all necessary items in place & the welcome pack is a lovely touch. The setting was nice and peaceful and the cabin was bigger than expected. Saw squirrel, horses, goats, blue tit, sparrow, fish & cormorant. Definitely recommend this cabin, great place to relax and chill out. Our dog absolutely loved it. Would stay here anytime.
JT January 2016 Liked – the little touches. the welcome basket, towels, chocolates etc. the view of the wildlife pond, the whole cabin – so pretty & cosy. We loved seeing the goats who popped out to say Hi every time we passed! Very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Thank you so much. We are going home well rested & with lovely memories of bringing in the New Year!
GA October 2015 Just left the cabin after 3 nights. The location is beautiful the cabin itself is gorgeous so warm and cosy. Julie was so helpful and all her little touches made it even better. I would highly recommend Willowfield to anyone looking a different type of getaway much nicer than a b&b or hotel.
AK May 2015 The attention to detail around the cabin is astounding, from the binoculars to all the other gadgets/appliances – a home from home! Not one car, plane, helicopter, human, light noticed for 2 days! An absolute tranquil paradise to get away from the thoughts and stresses of everyday life. Everywhere else is no comparison in our opinion. This little secret escape is something we’ve been searching for for years.
LC February 2015 Absolutely fantastic place! The scenery is out of this world. A beautiful place for quiet and relaxation. It has everything you need and the wildlife are wonderful. We saw a swan, ducks and lots of birds! Our 2 springers enjoyed the river! Definitely returning in the summer! 5 stars
GB November 2014 Facilities very good, peaceful & secluded, excellent value for money. Spotted a grey squirrel, loads of birds and an otter feeding! Cosy atmosphere, just a pity daylight was so short, would have liked to sit outside longer in the evenings. Extra thank you for your thoughtfulness on our anniversary.
AL August 2014 Super kitchen facilities with lots of extras! Great lounge area, bathroom facilities great & personal touches really made an impression. The peace & quiet with the beautiful scenery made a fantastic stay. Excellent value for money. Spotted grey squirrels, blue tit, sparrows, swifts & a crazy kitten! Would love to come back around October/November time! We really have had the most fantastic & relaxing stay. Thank you so so much!
TW July 2014 Facilities excellent, anything we needed was there when we looked – couldn’t believe it. Welcome pack was beautiful and made us feel very welcome. Brilliant value for money, fantastic price, we will for sure be back. Also loved the shower! Willowfield cabin is such a beautiful place! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant & relaxing. Things you didn’t like: Tin opener wasn’t the best & that is all I can think of. Note from Willowfield – Tin opener replaced, thank you for letting us know.
