The Barn is a charming self-contained holiday let, and is family and pet friendly. The quaint white building (storey and a half) is in a quiet rural setting within the grounds of Willowfield, which is located off a rural road between the towns of Coleraine and Ballymoney, just 10-15 minutes away.
It’s a great place for a quiet getaway, or to use as a base to explore our wonderful North Coast; the beaches, the ‘Ports’, Downhill, Castlerock, Giant’s Causeway, Ballycastle, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills or why not follow the famous Game of Thrones trail?
The Barn is just two miles from The Brown Trout Golf & Country Inn, if you fancy a meal or a ’round’, and there is a local shop there too. Just a few minutes away, over the famous Agivey Bridge on the River Bann, is the village of Bendooragh and a lovely artisan coffee shop, Founded Coffee. Just as close is the beautiful village of Balnamore where there is a great wee shop, open til 9pm most nights. Nearby too is Drumaheagles Marina with it’s lovely nature walk and Slipway Cafe.
Towards Coleraine there are the picnic areas and forest walks of Camus and Castleroe Wood, and a little further, opposite the River Bann and Canoe Trail, is Somerset Forest with it’s many lovely forest walks and large picnic area. For adventures on the water at Coleraine there is The Crannagh Complex on the River Bann.
And at Ballymoney there is the wonderful family attraction of Rose Park Farm including it’s own lagoon, and in nearby Kilrea, The Lake Outdoor Adventure & Water Park, fun for all the family!
The Barn has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, is well equipped and very comfortable.
There is a spacious bedroom upstairs (note the stairs are quite narrow at 26 inches) with en-suite shower room, with a double bed for 2 guests, but also the flexibility of sleeping 3 or 4 more, upstairs or downstairs, with the self-inflating double air mattress and two fold-out singles.
There are two patios with seating, to make the most of the sun on either side of The Barn, both with charming garden areas.
