Here at Willowfield we manage the property to encourage wildlife and are so pleased at all the different species of wild birds we have seen here, 62 at the latest count! We hope our guests are able to see lots of them during their visit. This year, 2025, we are thrilled to have added another new bird to the list, the Sedge Warbler 🙂 And the following is a list to help identification 🙂
SEDGE WARBLER
Another new bird to add at Willowfield; the Sedge Warbler. It wasn’t seen but was identified, via the Merlin App, as being in the hedge (should be called a Hedge Warbler lol) on 11th April 2025! It’s another wee LBJ (Little Brown Job) and is a summer visitor here, flying all the way from Africa! So happy 🙂

These are all the birds we have spotted at Willowfield so far . . . . .
